Background:

At initio, Liam’s interests are in dispute resolution, corporate governance, copyright, artists’ rights, and other aspects of intellectual property practice. Coming from a family of scientists, Liam wants to support innovators, especially in the biotechnology and medical science spaces. He served as an editor on half a dozen publications, where he honed his mastery of language; he is excited to bring those skills to bear in advocating for and advancing the interests of his clients.

As President of the Schulich Law & Technology Student Society and Chair of the Schulich Student Tax and Financial Law Association, Liam is thrilled to begin developing his expertise in tech law and start-up issues. He is also a member of Schulich’s IT Committee and Secretary of the Canadian Bar Association – Student Section, and tirelessly advocates for improving accessibility and inclusion in educational environments and beyond.

He continuously expands his horizons by keeping up with technological and legal trends in IP, administrative law, and beyond. Last year, Liam wrote a paper on the role of obviousness in genetic technologies and GMOs. Over the summer, Liam took courses on cybersecurity and legal tech to prepare for the CIPP/C (Certified International Privacy Professional – Canada) exam.

In his spare time, he can be found writing short stories, playing chess and other board games, and shooting landscape photography.
