Background:
Miya returns to initio after completing the Roman Elster Internship in Technology and Innovation over Summer 2024. During the internship, she conducted research on a wide variety of topics, including artificial intelligence, technology competence standards in the legal profession, and legislative review. Now, Miya is interested in policy reforms surrounding technology and is eager to leverage her technical background while working at initio.
Developing a passion for oral advocacy at a young age, Miya’s longtime goal to pursue law drives her to provide excellent client service. She is a third-year law student at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law and has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary. Miya will article with a litigation boutique in Toronto after graduating in 2025.
